Dust Off Your Bibles.

Come join us as we read the Bible this year. We will be reading from the KJV. The best known and faithful translation in the English language. A Bible that men such as John Wycliffe and William Tyndale died by simply translating it for the common man.

Pope Innocent 3, in 1215 issued a law that prohibited the translation of the Bible, and stated that simple and uneducated men should not touch the Bible. And in 1229 the Council of Toulouse prohibited the laity from processing or reading vernacular translations of the Bible.

So much for the "infalibility of popes."

I've taken the Bible for granted for the bulk of my life and shame on me for that. For us protestants, we believe in "Sola Scriptura" or "Scripture Only". And it's imperative that we

dust of our Bibles and read them faithfully.
