Why Me Jesus?

Every believer earnestly will understand the following message. It's about how our hearts ache for our loved ones that don't believe the Truth. Our hearts yearn for all the lost loved ones to repent and believe in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We pray for those we love to come to the saving graces of our Lord. Even those I don't care for, I pray them come to our Lord.
It may not be "Christlike" of me to say there are folks I don't particularly care for or even like but I certainly don't want them to burn in hell.
I am referring to those that simply think their morality and "good deeds" are sufficient enough to go to heaven. And a load of my loved one think and feel this way.
But in all fairness, for the bulk of my life I felt the same way too. And I did so as a "professing christian." That was until I was humbled and learned that God had been holding my hand all along. Even though I surely didn't hold His. I talked the talk but did not walk the walk.
Then one day, He opened my eye's to my hypocrisy and sins. I couldn't lie to myself any longer.
I think to the folks that gave me encouragement in my walk. Many faces that I cannot remember and certain one's I can't forget. Some are no longer here but I think they'd be pleased that I stopped being a rebel. And if possible, we'd chuckle about my ignorance and self perceived wisdom. I feel like an idiot when I remember some things I used to say. I cringe to think about my foolishness.
And today, thanks be to our Lord for His mercy and Grace I think about the loved ones that are lost in their supposed "wisdom."
Kris Kristofferson penned a song named "Why Me Lord." The words capture perfectly how I feel. Different artists like Tanya Tucker and Elvis have recorded this song but my favorite rendition is by Johnny Cash. I pinned a video of his performance for your enjoyment.
So pray we must for our lost family and friends. And pray we must for this lost planet.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23 KJV 1769
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Hebrews 9:27-28
The true Christian, knows that we are saved by Grace, through Faith in Christ! This not some secret knowledge and it's why folks preach from the rooftops for repentance and turning away from sin. We do so to warn them away from the coming destruction.
If you knew people were in grave danger inside a burning building or a sinking ship, would you not warn them of their impending doom?
Well you say, "but I don't believe in your beliefs, I believe in mine."
I say, "I don't have a belief, I stand on the Truth."
And they say; "You have your truth and I'll have mine."
That's fine, I will pray they see the light someday. And perhaps they will some day after I'm gone. But I will continue to pray for them. My job isn't to force feed the gospel down anyone's throat but to share it with them. If they reject it, that 's on them. We will all stand and answer before the righteous judge.
Jesus tells us, "Enter in through the narrow gate; because, the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in through it.
Because, the gate is narrow and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it." Matthew 7:13-14 KJV 2016
The sad reality of the previous verse is that the majority of people I've known will perish and that includes a huge part of my friends and family. I don't like it but regardless of what I like or don't like, the fact remains that the majority will perish eternally. And the bible says;
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
Revelation 20:10-15
I hope someone reads this and is convicted of the Truth. And they stop lying to themselves and excusing why they reject the Word. That they repent and begin their walk with our Lord.
I pray it's my or my wife's kids, friends, family or a stranger that we will never meet on earth.
We all are sinners in need of a Savior, whether you want to admit it or not. And God's loving sacrifice for mankind is extended. But it won't be extended forever.
"And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the LORD shut him in." Genesis 7:16 KJV 1769
God closed the doors on the arc, not Noah.
"Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground." Genesis 19:24-25 KJV 1769
See, It was God that reigned down fire from heaven. God righteously bringing down destruction on sinful and rebellious mankind.
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 2 Peter 3:10
Keep in mind folks that global warming is real but not for the reasons "experts" give.
It is God almighty that saith when that day shall befall the earth.
Repent and believe.
