I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you into the grace of Christ, to another gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. So am I now persuading men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? Because if I still pleased men, I would not be the servant of Christ. But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. Because, I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:6-12 KJV 2016

“Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory that which I preached to you, unless you have believed in vain. Because, I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: how Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some have fallen asleep. After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles. Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one born out of due time. Because, I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace which was imparted to me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. 1 Corinthians 15:1-11 KJV 2016

The other day I had the privilege of being able to speak from the pulpit. And I was honored because I thought that if I ever got the chance to preach, it should be about the Gospel....the Good News of Salvation. So I went up there and rehearsed the message two days prior and I did fine. However, Sunday came and although I did not feel in the least bit nervous or anxious, a couple of folks gave me an honest critique that I came across as such.

Personally I welcome criticism because that's the only way to get better, but whether I was nervous or not I was still honored to get the point across.

The point of the message is not about me but it's all about Him. And the love and work of redemption Christ did for us on the cross.

I took it upon myself to take and give credit to another Paul for a simple and easy to understand explanation of the Gospel. See the video below. It's less that 9 minutes and yet so profound.

Thank you and God Bless.

For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:18
